A whole new world

Once upon a time life was:
A vibrant work environment : People to meet, interviews to slot, night shifts to get through, copies to edit, pages to be made, designers-ad guys-systems guys to bicker with
A bunch of friends: first day first shows, long hours at the gym, shopping in the old city, countless evenings at the coffee house
The Husband and I: Long conversations, Late night television, Endless games of scrabble, dinners with friends.
Our cosy comfort zone.
And then..
A decision.
To step out.
A new life for us
with two new lives.
A whole new world.

  1. That 100 word drabble gave me more insight into you and your story ( if its reality inspired that is ) than an essay !!
I think very few things change life irreversibly as having kinds and one can only look back at one's life in amazement as we make that transition .. But it also makes us a much more mature person , so I guess its worthwhile for people who quit being who they were when they choose to be parents . but then again there 's no way of knowing otherwise 🙂

    1. Thanks Chandni for dropping by. You're right – when we decide to have children life changes drastically. I enjoyed the before-kids phase too and now this is just as good though in a very different way.

  2. Becoming a parent changes everything. Though the good news is as years fly past we learn to recreate the magic of our younger years with the little ones in tow.
    Beautifully put, Tulika <3
