Thursday Challenge : TREES (Saplings, Gnarly Trees, Snow Covered, Bonsai, Dead Tree, Shade Tree,…)
Venna Lake, Mahabaleshwar |
We saw this at Mahabaleshwar.. no clue whether these have grown naturally. A strange sight.. dry trees in the middle of a lake.
PS: Meanwhile we’re in the middle of the Gir forest enjoying a tryst with the lions. More on that when I get home by the weekend.
@Sarala.. thanks and we survived the lions.
Interesting trees. Don't get eaten by the lions.
@G: Wow.. Must have been some sight. Put up the pics, please.
I have a similar picture in Koyna backwaters (Satara, Maharashtra) where an entire village was immersed under water to make provision for water coming from the dam.
There were tree tops and antenna towers in the middle of the big Shivsagar lake, as it is called.
@Sugeeth.. hmmm that's a thought. It IS a manmade lake.
@Vrinda.. we sure did.
@Melody, Bikram.. Thanks.
@ Swaram..Sure will.
@IHM.. Are they? Didn't know that.
I think these are called mangroves… nice shot.

Must have been a man made lake like Periyar.. right in the middle of a forest.
